» Lake Pichola : Two palaces on the lake island (Jagniwas and Jagmandir) are studded as two pendants on 4 km long glittering necklace of Udaipur. Jagniwas Palace, erstwhile summer retreat of prince of Mewar, works now as a Heritage Hotel. It is believed that Jagmandir Palace provided some inspiration for the Prince's magna carta Taj Mahal. Haldighati (40 km) was the place where the iconic Rajput king Maharana Pratap defeated the Mughal forces of Akbar in 1576. Kumbhalgarh Fort (84 km) is another must-see fort besides Chittorgarh.

Dabok airport, 24 km has domestic flights to major air links of India. Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and Mumbai (Bombay) International Airport are the nearest international airports. Regular trains operate from Udaipur railway station (5 km). You also can access Udaipur via NH-8.
